The Terry Fox Exhibit
Hillcrest is proud to partner with the Terry Fox Foundation this year. Stop by and visit our Terry Fox wall featuring treasured memorabilia from his historic run. Try your hand at mini-putt game shaped as a replica of Terry’s shoe, and snap a photo with a life-sized cutout of this Canadian icon.
That’s not all – enter our raffle for a chance to win 1 of 4 amazing prizes: Terry’s replica Adidas shoes, a lululemon backpack, a $150 Sporting Life gift card or a $250 pair of polarized Sunglasses with a tote bag from Bailey Nelson.

T Is For Terry Book Signing
Hillcrest is excited to welcome special guest Denise Dias, author of the newly released T Is For Terry. Join us for a meet and greet and have your copy signed personally by Denise. Published in July 2025, this inspiring children’s book shares the remarkable story of Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope, bringing his extroardinary dream to life for young readers through a beautifully told and heartfelt narrative.

The Terry Fox Foundation
The annual terry fox run has become a classic Canadian tradition. The terry fox foundation is a Canadian charity dedicated to raising money for cancer research. Its inspired by Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope and the foundation continues to maintain the vision and principles of Terry Fox.
Brief History
Terry’s Marathon of Hope took place in 1980 on a mission to inform Canadians of the importance of finding a cure for cancer. With fierce determination, Terry ran an average of 42km everyday for 143 days. Terry was forced to end his run on September 1, 1980 when the cancer spread to his lungs.
This year, you can join the annual terry fox run too! Participate, fundraise and help finish what Terry started on Sunday September 14th.
