Prep with a few essentials before heading out the door. Masks or facial coverings are an important part of safe social distancing so if you have one at hand, make sure to wear one before you head out the door. If you don’t have access to one, you can make your own non-medical mask or facial covering at home using budget-friendly materials like a bandana, scarf, hair ties, and scrunchies. For a list of stores where you can purchase reusable masks, click here.
During your visit, there will he hand sanitizers available throughout the shopping centre. You can also purchase your own from Shoppers Drug Mart. Another alternative is to make your own hand sanitizer at home using ingredients such as isopropyl alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol) and aloe vera. A hand sanitizer must have an alcohol concentration of at least 60 per cent, as approved by Health Canada, to be effective. You can also pick up these ingredients at Shoppers Drug Mart.
