Make Holiday Memories in our Jingle Jolly Sleigh! 


Introducing our socially distanced Santa photo experience featuring a one-of-a-kind, two-piece Jingle Jolly Sleigh that allows guests to stay safe while capturing the magic of the season. The Jingle Jolly Sleigh will be located in Centre Court, In front and will run November 20th to December 24th, 2020.

With the safety of guests and employees a top priority, Hillcrest has implemented reservation-based Santa visits to minimize traffic and create a touch-free experience among other in-centre policies and guidelines.


How It Works


The new Jingle Jolly Sleigh is a custom-built set designed for this year’s Santa experience at Hillcrest. The sleigh is built in two pieces which are each six feet in length, allowing guests to sit in the front part of the sleigh, while Santa sits in a second piece that is elevated one foot above the front. This height difference creates the perspective in the photo that Santa and his guests are closer together than they are.

Please Note:

  • Face coverings are mandatory for all visitors ages 2+, as mandated by the Ontario government.
  • Face coverings must be worn for photos.
  • Adult assistance may be required to help children onto and while on the sleigh.

In order to maintain social distance, please do not arrive at the set until your reservation time. Entrance to the set is located by Honey. Please have your barcode printed or ready to be scanned on your phone. This will be used to check you in, and also to pick up your photos at the kiosk.

Virtual Santa Online Options

Safety & Cleaning Procedures


The Jingle Jolly Sleigh experience will have additional safety measures in place including daily temperature checks and mandatory masks for employees (including Santa!), floor markers to ensure social distancing at all times, disinfection of the sleigh and touchpoints after each visit and hand sanitizer available on-site. The set will also be cleaned at closing and during each of Santa’s breaks.

Virtual Pets With Paws in Partnership With the Ontario SPCA & Humane Society


This year, Pets with Paws is going virtual! Starting November 13, simply upload a picture of your furry friends and Santa’s elves will work their magic to superimpose your pet onto a photo with Santa. All proceeds will be donated to the Ontario SPCA.



The Ontario SPCA & Humane Society is a registered charity, established in 1873. The Society and its network of communities facilitate and provide for province-wide leadership on matters relating to the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of animal well-being. Offering a variety of mission-based programs, including community-based sheltering, animal wellness services, provincial animal transfers, shelter health & wellness, high-volume spay/neuter services, animal rescue, animal advocacy, Indigenous partnership programs and humane education, the Ontario SPCA is Ontario’s animal charity. The Jingle Jolly Sleigh FAQ


Do guests have to wear a mask in the photo? Why?

All visitors aged 2+ are required to wear a mask for the visit and photos with Santa.

The provincial government has implemented restrictions to help prevent and stop the spread of COVID-19. Effective August 7, 2020, this includes mandating the use of face coverings in all public indoor settings across the province, including businesses, facilities and workplaces. Since the Santa experience is in a public indoor space, we are required to follow this mandate.

Are you offering pet photo nights this year?

For health and safety reasons, Cherry Hill Programs is not offering pet photos this year. However, they are offering a virtual online option. Customers are welcome to upload an image of their pets to the Cherry Hill Programs website, and Santa will be superimposed into the photo. Customers can choose from a variety of background options. All proceeds from the virtual pet photos will be donated to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.

Why do I have to book a reservation in advance?

Hillcrest and Cherry Hill Programs have implemented a reservation-based system this year in order to help avoid line-ups to minimize traffic and create a touch-free experience. Holiday is a busy time of year, and we are doing everything possible to encourage social distancing and maintain a safe shopping environment for our guests, retailers and community.

I booked a timeslot, but it is still coming up on the reservation site as an option. Why?

Reservations are available in 15-minute timeframes, with each timeframe allowing 4 people to sign-up. Once all 4 spots in that timeframe have been booked, it will no longer be an option on the site.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

After booking you will receive a confirmation email which contains information about how to reschedule in needed (based on remaining availability).

How will babies and small children access the sleigh?

There is a small set of stairs leading up to the sleigh and some children may require assistance getting into the sleigh. Since children are unable to sit on Santa’s lap this year, parents/guardians may need to hold/accompany babies and small children during their visit/photos with Santa.

Is the sleigh accessible?

The sleigh is in 2 pieces, with Santa in the back and guests in the front. If needed, we can remove the front piece so guests with mobility assistance can still be in front of Santa.

Can I make a reservation once on-site?

We encourage you to make your reservation prior to your visit to the mall. We cannot guarantee reservations will be available while you are visiting the mall.
